How to Make Lemonade

In writing this week, we are learning to explain a process. What better process to explain but making lemonade? I brought lemons, a juicer, and some sugar to school today. We talked about what we would  need to do first, next, then, and last to make lemonade. Some of the students were able to come and squeeze the juice from the lemons. They had so much fun! After making lemonade, they all got to try it. We then made a pitcher of pink lemonade. The class had to think about which they liked the best, yellow lemonade or pink lemonade. We will be creating a class graph tomorrow. We made a poster describing the lemonade we made. They had so many wonderful adjectives to describe the lemonade.

Here are a few pictures of some of the students juicing the lemons.
