24 Days

We have about 24 days left of first grade! I can hardly  believe how fast this year has flown by. I am very proud of all the kids have accomplished this year. Please remind your child of school procedures. We have a lot of fun things coming up, but we still have a lot of work to do too. We will begin End of the Year testing soon, so please remind them to do their best work! Some dates to remember:

1st Grade Musical: Friday, May 11th at 9:00 AM
1st Grade Field Day: Tuesday, May 22nd

La Grande Cirque

We had a great time at Le Grande Cirque on Wednesday. We weren't allowed to take pictures during the show, so here are some pictures before it began. The kids we excited and couldn't wait to for it to start!!

 

Field Trip

The school year is coming to an end fast! We are working hard to be ready for 2nd grade. Please continue to read your child nightly.

Compliment Jar!

Our class met the compliment jar goal a couple of weeks ago and voted to bring a stuffed animal to school. They were so excited to get to pick their award!

Away We Grow!

Our current unit is titled "Away We Grow!" We have been learning all about plants and what they need to grow. We have also learned about the different uses of plants and how animals can use them.  We grew corn in egg shells. The class wanted to see how tall the corn plant could get, so I brought a bigger pot to school. We repotted one of the corn plants and have been watching it grow since.
